  Here's the park in front of the Drake and its neighbors.  Just a quick jaunt under Lakeshore Dr. to the beach of Lake Michigan.  My first time eyeing this lake. It really is   And the modern traffic whizzing by northward on Lakeshore Dr.  What visit to Chicago would be complete without a trip to the Apple Store on Michigan Ave? Yet again, more distinctive architecture.  Here's neat alcove I came across. I think it's the association of Europe I make with gothic architecture that facinates me when I see it elsewhere.  Upwards with the Chicago Tribune building.  A beautiful day for a collage-reconstruction of the Tribune building.  And just across the street is this wonder. And I always thought New York City was supposed to be the model for Gotham City in Batman.  Still on Michigan Ave, heading south. Here's the Chicago River, looking east.  An intriguing gold-topped behemoth.  Close-up of said behemoth.  And here's the nitty gritty, the unloved underside of the beautiful architecture. Fire escapes and trash chutes.
